What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, phone or other device when you visit it. Other technologies, such as local storage, tracking pixels and scripts, can do a similar job. In this notice, “cookies” covers all of them.

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.

The cookies we use

At present this website does not set any cookies. If we add any, they will be only cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work and stay secure, for example to protect our contact form from spam, and we will list each one here with what it does and how long it lasts. We never use cookies to identify you or to follow you across other websites.

How we measure visits

We want to know which pages people find useful, so we count visits. We do this from our web server’s own records (server logs), not with cookies, tracking pixels or analytics scripts in your browser. Nothing is stored on, or read from, your device for this purpose.

The figures we produce are anonymous totals, such as the number of times a page was viewed. Our Privacy notice explains how we handle server records.

Why there is no cookie banner

The law allows websites to use strictly necessary cookies without asking for consent. Because we set no other cookies, we do not show a cookie banner.

If we ever want to use other cookies, we will update this notice and ask for your consent before we set them.

Other websites

Some links on our website, for example to Google Maps, take you to other websites. Those websites may set their own cookies, under their own cookie policies.

How to control cookies

You can set your browser to block cookies, or to tell you when a website tries to set one. You can also delete cookies that are already on your device.

Look for “cookies” or “site data” in your browser’s settings, usually under Privacy or Security. On a phone or tablet, the setting may be in the browser app or in the device’s own settings.

This website works fully with cookies blocked. If we add strictly necessary cookies later, blocking them may stop some parts, such as the contact form, from working properly.
